Objective of PGDM Course

The basic objectives of PGDM course are :
• To provide world-class professional education in business and management to young men and women in India with necessary knowledge, skills, values & attitudes to occupy remarkable managerial positions in business, industry, trade, commerce and the government services.
• Impart to the students latest and relevant knowledge in the field of management theory & practices.
• To develop interpersonal skills in students for effective dealings with subordinates, peers and superiors in an organizational setting.
• To groom students to understand the intricacies of ever growing competition and infusion of technology in various sectors.
• To prepare students to appreciate the opportunities and challenges of a modern complex organizations and train them to play leadership roles in dynamic business environment.
• To impart right kind of values and attributes to function effectively in managerial administrative position in a global perspective.

The Course structure, for 'PGDM', is divided into six trimesters over a period of two years and will have dual specializations. The syllabus is spread over 6 trimesters in two years, the program is offering dual specialization in the field of Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance and Information Technology.

At the end of Term III, each student will be required to undergo-six-eight-week summer training at leading corporations by undertaking a project of direct relevance to the concerned organization. Subsequently, a presentation on the project and a viva-voce before a panel of experts one from academia and another from corporate are held. Summer internship is an essential requirement for award of the 'PGDM Diploma'.

Dual Specialization & Electives: A student can choose specialization in Management, Marketing Management, Finance, Information Technology. At the end of Sixth trimester, each student will be required to submit his/her "Research Project Report" in the stipulated time period given by the institute. A presentation of business project and a viva-voce will be held before a panel of experts. Each Term will have at least 12 weeks of teaching besides summer training of two months with leading corporations.
